Thanks for all the info. VERY interesting history. Is it still around? After reading that it was totaled I'm a little concerned....... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Truck 706 went into service at 1700 hours on Thursday 28 February 2008...
A large part of my collection was purchased from a GOOD man, John Floyd. I give him FULL credit on his work, although I may miss something. Thanks John. Also Scott Mattson, Warren Jenkins, Michael Schwartzberg, and Mike Sanders. Thanks Guys.
Old Truck 6, the 1984 Seagrave went into reserve fleet. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Last I have heard is its between Seagrave and Pierce. There is some talk around the station but I'm not going to say anything yet. Have to wait and see what the commitee recommends.

Just a quick one, I've heard this before, but I wasn't sure. Coming from a department that didn't run tillers (which obviously require 2 drivers), How do they deliver these things? Does the tiller wheels lock straight and just drive it like a standard semi-truck? Just curious....Thanks

YES, there is a pin to lock the tiller steering wheel.
