Bensware says Plano FD just bought 2 engines replacing E3 and E9 with the typical Plano Rosenbauer rear mount pump engine. E9 WAS Plano's only Pierce pumper.

Does anyone have any idea why Plano is trying to unify their engine fleet to rear mount types?
You are sure right, Billy. In fact, here is another shot of her.

Evidently, when you apply for a FEMA grant with the claim that your rig is "no longer capable of firefighting operations,", FEMA stipulates in the grant that the old vehicle must not be used for firefighting anymore. That includes your department or any other. There was a loop hole where someone individually could purchase the rig then sell it to another department, but I heard they closed that loophole. I was telling the guys that they needed to keep it in a perpetual bid process, just keep it in the station for a parade truck, but they need to bucks and are trying to sell it. It is up for sale for some outrageous amount, so maybe my thought isn't too far from reality....
That is the rig formerly assigned as Quint Co. 01 in Georgetown, a 2004 Sutphen 75' quint. It was replaced by a 2007 Sutphen 100' ladder tower quint. Unsure where it is going to be reassigned.
