This was the old 8011 that was replaced in 1978 by a new Mack CF. I believe this C was a '63 or '64. I'll have to make a phone call to my dad. He used to drive this rig all the time. The other Mack C was a '67 i believe, which was replaced in 1984 with a new Pierce Arrow. I remember the night the new Pierce arrived at the firehouse.
Like Jay said, both of Palmyra's Mack C's were sold to Lester Fire Company in Essington, PA, but both have since been sold. I've been trying to locate them for several years now.

Found out that the first Mack C was a 1964, 750 GPM pump and 500 Gal. tank. Second Mack C was a 1968, also with a 750 GPM pump and 500 Gal. tank.

This R Model was a 1972 bought new by the Mercer Road Volunteer Fire Company of Butler, Butler Township, PA. It was the first fire truck I remember as a kid, my dad becoming chief a few years after it was bought.
The story was this was the next to the last gas Mack built (I don't know if that was fire Mack or any Mack) and off the top of his head 35 years later claims the serial was R608F-10-0235, though looking through the board it maybe 1235 and not 0235. The rig was in service until 1992 when she was replaced with a 92 Pierce Dash that shows up in another thread here, after it left Station 6 he never heard of it again, though by then he was the township FM at that point and not a member. I know there are some folks that have lengthy lists of Mack serials and dispositions - anyone know where she ended up?
The C Mack at the Montgomery County, PA Fire Training School is ex 27-21, a 1959 Mack C-85F 750gpm/300gwt ex Norristown Steam Fire Engine and Hose Company No.1, or simply Norris Hose. I'm not sure of the year but it was operated by Arctic Engine Company No. 1 of Milford, CT's old Volunteer system. The volunteer fire companies in Milford were disbanded sometime during the early to mid 80's and this rig is one of them that is still around. The last I know it was stored in the volunteer organization's house next to MFD Station 7.
I'm trying to find a picture of a C Model Mack a friend of mine purchased. Currently he has no pictures of this rig from when it was in service. The truck number is C9F1213 and it was from West Hempstead NY. If any one could help me with this it would be greatly appreciate it..
