For Seth and the Austin EMS guys, 7 more new units should deliver in July with another 2 to follow in the next few months.

The group of seven is complete awaiting final inspection I believe.
Any idea on who's getting the new units?
Thanks A/TCEMSPM.

I haven't heard where the new units will be going. I know that medic 7 and medic 13 took delivery of the first 2 out of the order about 3 months ago. I would anticipate some shuffling around again as the 02 units go into reserve when these 7 get here.
I dont remember whose unit it was for certain but I want to say Medic 7 had theirs for like 2 weeks and the ac went out. I think the '02 trucks are at 2, 9, 11, 19, 20, 21, (maybe 22 and 25 but I havent been out there in a long time), 23, 27. My memory may be failing me but I believe that is correct.
I definitely see why Medic 7 is getting a new rig then.

I wonder why ATCEMS would keep a vehicle "low profile" like this? Seems to be for a higher ranking officer.
Maybe just awaiting striping? Looked brand new. Seth Granville

The LEDS on either side of the grille emblem are NICE. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
That is Assistant Chief Shammard's vehicle. The way the city purchases things, evidently if we ask for a large SUV and Tahoes happen to be what APD is purchasing thats what we get to due to the volume discounts, same thing with the light bar, APD switched to the Tomar BLADE so thats what we get. (Although the new district command vehicles have the standard Tomar 930L bar go figure) As far as the lights it seems excessive to me for a vehicle that does not normally respond to incidents but im a pee-on so who knows.
First 4 of 9 units delivered TODAY to Austin-Travis County EMS in Austin, Texas. 3 more should be delivered next week, then 2 more in another month or two.
