The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Whelen 150, a victim of the weather on July 22, has been cancelled.
The Mod Tour will be back on Sunday, Sept. 24 for the Whelen Volunteer Fire Department 150. It will be part of the season-ending Town Fair Tire Fall Finale, a two-day, 13-division extraganza that will include the Speedbowl’s four NASCAR weekly divisions.
In cooperation with Whelen, the Speedbowl will honor the area’s volunteer firemen and women. On Saturday (Sept 23), local fire departments will be showing off their equipment. Interspersed with the apparatus will be the WMT cars and stars.
In exchange for autographs and photographs, fans will be asked to make a cash contribution, the total being divided among the visiting fire departments.
“Volunteer firemen and women are true heroes,” says Speedbowl General Manager Bill Roth. “We are honored to join Whelen in honoring some of the most unselfish individuals in our community.”

How about some from the 2003 Convention Parade. I have shot every convention since 2002, which is the only one were I didn't get the whole parade, due to rain and a dying battery. I am trying to avoid repeating trucks, but my note taking is horrible so bear with me.
