[quote name='bownasterm' post='223275' date='Jun 21 2008, 02:13 ']And finally, my first decent roster shot of Plano E6, this is going to be replaced by a spartan cab with a small telesquirt ladder chassis with pump

So is this a going to be replaced by a new truck or being glided?

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

I read it as a new truck with a new Tele-Squrt aerial, I'd bet Rosenbauer/General if the recent pattern holds true...Anyone got shots of any Flower Mound Fire apparatus?

Here is a picture that I shot at the plant.

Hmmmm. I like that Plano rig. Now put it on a Spartan Evolution chassis and make the aerial a mid-mount and then we're talking. I wonder..........................Ha ha.

They also received a mid-mount spartan but its a 2006 model and I believe it was sent back to the facility for a build problem.

In the past, the BA maint. and repair guys had hand-me-down EMS units given to them but it looks like they finally got something NEW!!! Two of these Dodge Sprinters were spotted today at the shops (one of them just back from getting graphics).

John,

any plans for the ambulances to go (back) to red stripes as well?
Reply
Patrick,

Yeah, that's the rumor floating around right now...new Fire Chief said the "taxi cab yellow" stripes had to go so speculation is that the 16 new EMS units on order will either be RED or at least have the red stripes.
