The guy who pulled the rigs out for us at Ellis Cross Country knew a guy at Millers Ferry. He made the contact for us and we were soon heading back east.

The guy at Millers Ferry was nice enough to contact a friend of his at Spencer, so we went there next. I only have gotten one pic from Spencer developed so far, so I'll only post it for now.

After we shot the four apparatus at Spencer, the guy offered to take us over to the old station to get shots of their Mack C and Millers Ferry's E-641. I had previously shot both, but the other guys had not. The Mack wouldn't start, so here's the shot I took a few years ago.

I haven't posted here in a while because I had not developed any film until today. I'll finish up the Rowan County trip, then post a few Georgia rigs, then start the trip I took last week.

This rig is a bit of a mystery. I shot it many years ago at Jamestown, NC. I had the body listed as a Slagle, but that's just what I was told, I never saw any such markings. It is now at Spencer, but Andrew swears it has a body by Boardman, the same as one that Maggie Valley used to have. The pump panel design, inside a compartment without a door, reminds me of those built by Indiana Fire Apparatus. I'm hoping someone else might know more...
