Outstanding thread! Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed my visit to the city last year. Good to see all of the apparatus I was unable to visit.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the thread! Here are a few pieces of suburban equipment I shot.
David Crockett Vol. FD 1969 Mack CF 54' Squrt 1500/500 *They claim to be the oldest continuously active volunteer fire company in the country
David Crockett Vol. FD
1968 Mack CF 1250/500 *Both of these pieces were in front line service and in immaculate condition!
I think the Mack CF Squrt from David Crockett FD is Ex-East bank FD.
Corrections welcome.

Great photos thanks for sharing.
I remember watching a video of NOFD fighting a well involved house fire DURING the hurricane (katrina) on youtube. The video says it is Kenner and NO, LA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIa4V_oec7Y

The 1975 Maxim 100' TDA served New Orleans as Ladder 8, then Ladder 11. The 1978 Maxim 100' RM served as New Orleans Ladder 2, then Ladder 7. Sorry, I don't have Maxim #'s on these. |
