Just found a Boardman Ford C8000 35ft midmount Tele-Squirt this weekend at the Herman, MO Vol. Fire Company No.1. The firefighter stated they purchased it used from someone. It is the worst color lime green, they run red but did not to pay for repainting. It responds from Fire House One and it's running mate is a red 1957 International-R Seagrave. I will post indoor photos tommrow. Where this Green Tele-Squirt it come from?

Missouri still has a large number of rural departments that are non tax supported, they sell fire tags for money. Herman is just this a vol fire company. Heman is a small German town and is Missouri wine country a great trip they have two fire houses in the city limits.

They also purchased Washington, MO Fire Department's soild red 1973 Mack CF. A real jem, sharp. This Engine responds from Fire House Two.

They have an incrediable fire mesuem at Fire House One, handtubs, ladder wagon, hose reel's, and parade banner's from 1800's.

Ford C Boardman with 35ft Tele Squirt

Sorry I was some what in a hurry and did not get any numbers. Purchased used from??? DO NOT WORRY Herman paints all fire units RED. They did not want to pay for a repaint as of yet.

Herman is a non tax supported fire association. Yes they are subcription fire service, so you must purchase a fire tag each year. They do have to put out your fire now by state law. However they can charge up to 500 for the first hour and 200-300 each hour after for non members. Missouri still has a large number of subcription fire associations.

What can you tell me about this Ford/Boardman pumper we found at the Vandergrift #2 Fire Department in Vandergrift, Pa? I thought it was very, very strange to see a Boardman over here (I can only think of 1 other Boardman in this state.. that was a telesquirt for Moon Township in a nice shade of Blue).

Fritz,

You need to get out more often. lol. There are a few other Boardmans out in the western part of the state. 2 in Butler county, and 2 in Lawrence County off the top of my head. Not sure about out East.

Found an old shot of a New Jersey Boardman. Mantua VFC, Gloucester Co, NJ had this 1969 Ford C/Boardman 750/500.

Wow, what a neato, and great topic here. I just stumbled upon this one while I was checking out a couple of other threads, and thought I'd contribute some stuff here as well. First off I'll post 3 pics of a Boardman Engine still serving the Macedon,NY Wayne county FD. The vehicle is designated as Engine-19. It is a Spartan/Boardman Engine with a 1250 GPM Pump, and a 1000 Gal Tank. It carries Model# S-11250-LII, and carries Serial# F-3004. I'm not sure of the year of it, but it is locally known as one of the dept's "Hess Trucks" in their all White/Green fleet. I have 3 pics of the vehicle in parades which I'll post for now until I can find some more of my more detailed ones of it.

Next up will be a group of pictures of another one of the Macedon,NY Fleet. This one is a rather rare one for this area, and may possibly be the only one of it's kind in WNY. I know for sure there are no other ones in the Greater Rochester area other than this one. It is still also currently serving in front line service with the Macedon,NY FD. The vehicle is designated as Quint-2. It is a Spartan/Boardman/Apache Tower. It carries model# S-11250, and serial# F-2843. It also has a 1250 GPM Pump, and a 1000 Gal Tank. I have several pics of it to share, and also a couple of close-ups of the serial number plates on the pump panel, and also on the tower of the rig.

And last up is this rear view of Macedon, NY Q-2 heading off to a call. I hope you all enjoyed the pics, and Steve, I hope these pics help you out with your database on Boardman rigs. If you have any delivery pics of either of these rigs, I'd enjoy seeing them. Also, I'm not positive, but Macedon, NY may have also run with some Ford C/Boardman rigs prior to running with these rigs, although I'm not positive on this.
