Glad to see you posting again Scott. I always enjoy your oldies.
How many CF's did Parkesburg have? I have them with a 1970 CF gas motor 1000 GPM pumper as E281. I take it this is not the same rig.
Scott, Info on this rig. Does anybody know where this ended up in Alabama ? Many thanks, Bruce 1970 Mack CF/J.C. Moore, canopy cab, 1250/380, 55 ft Tele-Squirt. This was purchased used in 1989 from the J.C. Moore Company who had purchased it used from River View, MI. This rig was also damaged on 6/16/92 at the barn fire. The damage was only slight. When the company in MI originally purchased the engine, it did not have the squirt on it. It was mounted on in 1979. It was refurbed in 1985, a new 275 HP engine was installed in 1986, and it was refurbed again in 1989. It has a two speed automatic transmission and a Maxidyne diesel. The hydraulic system to the ladder failed in the summer of 1996 and was repaired by Domestic Fire Apparatus. The water tank developed a major leak in 3/2000, making it useless. The tank was replaced in the fall of 2000 by Fabricated Metals of Modena. Taken OOS on 12/10/02 and sold to a fire company in AL for $7,500.
