Love a chief with enough brains to get his buggy out of the way.

Your folks need to get around a little bit more or at least join this site. Lots of folks still use 4 way valves.

The way I look at it, if you're on my Engine, and we're taking a hydrant, that figgin thing had better be on the hydrant and so had the 2.5" gated valves for the side-tits. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/offtopic.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Offtopic' /> If not you better have a damn good reason why. Unfortunately there are a few in the ranks that feel its just a waste of time so why bother. Hell it took 13 years to convince them to make the switch from 4" to 5".

"...gated valves for the side-tits."

I had side-tits, but went on a diet & got 'em under control.

Bitch-hips, too.

K-6, Fire Investigation Unit, is in the black unmarked Tahoe in the rear. Pretty sure the red Tahoe is the Public Information Officer C-22.

Does anyone know why the Boston apparatus are driven up on the sidewalk. Isn't that hard on the tires?

[/quote]

Tight streets, need to keep the lane open for other rigs. Could be hard on the tires, so is fighting fire

I'm probably going to get razzed for this but did the engine do a little "agricultural" driving or did they hand jack the 4inch into the front yahds? I see no tracks but that had to be one labor intensive deal if they did hand jack it.
