Just FYI

The RED 1972 Seagrave Snorkel 6 was in the Kansas City Suburb of Lenexa on the Wigglesworth used truck farm. The rear body and Snorkel has been removed and sold. The Seagrave Chassis had a long flatbed attached to it. The truck lot was auctioned in 2000-2001 so I don't know where it was sold. It was a sad end to a cool rig. it still had the B&M siro drift and Federal Becon Rays on it. The ST Louis gold leaf was well worn but still in decent shape. Most of the Kansas City ALF 700 series and K model Seagraves met their demise at this truck farm. He purchased most of them at auction in the early 1980's for the Detroit Diesels. The rest of the rig just rotted. He had close to fifty rigs total rotting in the fields.

Sad day, I was able to walk the fields when I was in High School. It took over a year of me stopping by for him to let me back in the fields. I have some Polaroids some where of the rigs. He was not real big on photos when he let me back there.

Stay Safe,

Rick

Sorry buddy, I asked Laura if she could photoshop you out but she said she can't do anything with those antique pictures [Image: smile.gif]

(don't worry, I won't tell anyone about you sitting in the tiller seat making siren noises and pretending you were steering.)
