Quick question for the FDNY guys, or anyone else who may know....The LED Rotator combo......Is that a Federal Signal light or something made in house? Looks to me like a combo of an old Aerodynic lens with new LED's. Can anyone specify?

The lightbars look like 3 of these in a V configuration http://www.fedsig.com/products/index.php?id=143

Upon closer inspection, yes there are rotators. It might be the AeroDynic probably the 21" version. http://www.fedsig.com/products/index.php?id=127

They are the 21" aerodynic's. The two mini-bars on the outside are rotators/led mix. The outside of the lights are rotators and the insides are leds. From what I remember on the previous pages was the apparatus commitee wanted rotators to flash off the buildings. The center lightbar is all led. Watch the video towards the end, and you will see the lights on, and what they mean.

I guess what my question boils down to is this: I didn't see the option on the fed sig website to combine a rotator with LED's on the 21" bar. Is this something that was custom made just for FDNY or did the apparatus shops have to make the bar themselves? Liked the video though. Very good apparatus walk-through.

When we bought the 30 odd pieces fro, Pierce at one time, we spec'd what we wanted, and Whelen was the choice of the department. They stepped up the plate and made what we wanted. Probably the same for the FDNY I would guess.

This is from the Queens Boro Commanders Office, but not the actual Boro Commander. The Boro Commanders have unmarked Crown Vics.
