First local car I've seen with the "Rumblah".
Alas, but we had to forego the kitchen sink... took up too much space! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/police.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> In fact, we had to forego the spare tire to use the created space to store some of our equipment. Believe it not, the above list was only a partial of what we carry!
As far as the "Rumblah"... I LOVE IT!!!
Thanks much for the compliment on the graphics... I actually did the design (have designed all our fleet graphics since '86)
I don't know if this has been asked but how does the Chargers handle in bad weather? You know rain and snow.
Significantly better than the CVPI and Caprice (I can't speak for the FWD Impala, never driven one). I now have over two years of winter driving experience in the Chargers (in minor and MAJOR snowstorms) and find them a more solid handling platform than any other cruiser I have driven. The ESP feature helps to keep you steady without losing traction and spinning your wheels. Apart from glare ice, on which no cruiser can prevail (without studded tires!), you just can't get the Charger to break loose (except the '06 and '07's which allowed you to totally bypass the ESP and intentionally break loose - and do burnouts <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . The '08's only allow for partial bypass of the ESP. It gives you a little leeway and spin for manuevers such as rocking the car front to rear if stuck).

What about the handling in the AWD models?
The Charger Police Pursuit Sedan is NOT available in AWD. That is only produced for the civilian market. Hopefully, they'll correct this and produce an AWD cruiser package. I have yet to drive any of the civilian variations or the 6-cylinder police version.

The 5.7L Hemi is what is spec'd in all of our Chargers. We did not want the V6's, and as mentioned before, I have never driven them. Supposedly their performance is comparable to the Ford Police Interceptor with it's 4.6L V8. Initially, they were having overheating/cooling problems with the V6 Charger Police sedans. I know Wayland runs the 6's, but don't know if they experienced any problems with them. Any other departments I know of that have Chargers went with the Hemi V8's like us. For 2009, they have introduced a "second-generation" 5.7L Hemi that will up the horsepower from 340 to 368 in the police package units.
Thanks again Maxim. Wow look at that Horsepower they are going to be hard to run from <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

And their top end is governed, too. If it wasn't, well.... look out NASCAR!!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
This demo car had allthe tricks full external and internal led warning light package, instant on radar, custom Havishields console w/integrated laptop, and thermal imaging cameras built into the spotlights which could be viewed and recorded on the vehicle's laptop computer
