Hey Myself Mesner, nice photos! Interesting assortment of stuff. I think I like Micah's trucks the best, especially the low profile light bar on that one Freightshaker.

Thanks guys! And as Micah mentioned, here's Burnsville, NC's vintage 1974 Shaggin' Wagon!! This is the only Shaggin' Wagon you'll ever see with a Federal Signal Model 28 mechanical siren under the hood!

My dad had a Chevy van simular to this one. When he was chief he had a twinsonic on the roof and a model 28 federal siren under the hood. Ever time he would hit the siren his headlights would go out and lightbar would stop spinning. LOL the good ol days.

Yea, when we wind up our siren the lights dim as well, its kinda funny. It was really cool when we had the rotating gumdrop light on top but it got knocked off when one of our members tried to park it in his garage to load some things in it <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Doh' />

Excellent job as usual Andrew. Your info taking is exceptional. You are covering a part of the country very few people ever see let alone travel too.

In the midst of my busy life these days, I've managed to brave the cold & shoot a few pictures in the last week. This truck here actually came to me at work the other day. The local Smeal representative brought it by the station for us to look at. It was totally unexpected for a fire truck to come to me, but I was thrilled! Of course, I couldn't let him escape without letting me pose the truck & shoot it!

And though its a passenger side shot, despite our best attempts at posing, we were unable to get a good drivers side shot of this truck. The parking lot just wouldn't facilitate it. We tried! But this is a heavy rescue, looks the same on both sides...I promise! This beast was delivered to the West Buncombe FD, located between Asheville & Leicester, NC a few months ago. They are still trying to get it in service. This truck is absolutely monstrous!

And just for fun, here's another new delivery at West Buncombe, NC. Yes, I know its just a Suburban with a lightbar, but I now have shots of West Buncombe's entire fleet!

While I agree it is a beast, this is a GMC Topkick, not a Brigadier. The Topkick is a "somewhat smaller" truck.

Great pics!

A week or two ago, I was able to shoot the entire fleet of Mills River Fire & Rescue in Henderson County, NC, except for one truck. Engine 18 was somewhat out of service due to a missing compartment door on the drivers side. I didn't wanna shoot it with a door missing. Without further, here are the trucks!
