It was both Vandergrift Foxes, Highland Hose from Tarentum, and Apollo #2's

The 47 ladder truck was replaced by the 1979 100' m/m open cab ALF. It was recently replaced a few years ago by a 100' Sutphen tower. The 79 ALF along with #5's Hendrickson sit at Fortunatos, a repair facility on Route 22, west of Blairsville. The Hendrickson went to a Cambria Co. station after #5 received a new KME engine. From there Fortunato bought it. I thought the Hendrickson was newer than a 1970. #3 still has the Century ALF and #6 had the Ward refurbed. #6 has a KME air truck painted to match the Ward and #5 has a KME rescue to match there engine now.

Your semi right about the Hendrickson/FMC from Latrobe. After being sold from Latrobe it went to Tunnelton-Conemaugh in Indiana County before heading to Fortunatas. Now it is sitting in his lot missing the body. What a waste.

Sorry Shoop. Last I talked to Dave Fortunato, he was planning to scrap this and the aerial this spring. He also had old Engine 2 from Latrobe.

Any word on what he is going to do with the W. Newton tiller. I would suppose he is going to scrap it since it failed the aerial certification. It would be nice if Andy Leider could get his hands on it.

Andy Leider might own this one now. he has a 1941 E model painted yellow like this one. I will have to print out this pic and take it with me next time I go up there, for comparison.

Oh yes! There are some good ones in this batch. The Kecksburg ones were the most interesting. I never knew they had a tanker before the Autocar. It seems to have an outside appearance similar to Tanker 91. I knew Dry Ridge had their tanker remounted and updated, but I don't know what chassis it used to have. Also, for what it is worth, here is Kecksburg Rescue 76-5 as it appears today; I believe it has the same body with some updates. Incidently, this is their first due unit for many calls, from fires to accidents to public service, and has seen a lot of work.

I believe you are right Bill, it was a Kenco and it is all Black with red stripes. And I believe it is lettered as you stated.

Bill, from what Wayne told me a while ago, Tanker 91 is an old Milk truck they had converted.
