I took this photo at the Darby Fire near Chico, CA in 2001

If you look in the lower left corner somebody set up a sign that says Used Fire Engine Sale.

Most of these look like California Department of Forestry engines, quite a few Model 9's and Model 14's or 15's.

here is the group shot of my dept. (but first ill give you some details of my dept. is started in the 1970 as a part of the civil defense and around 1990 they changed the name to the shelby county fire dept. we are located in sidney ohio and we run mutual aid for almost all Structure fire in shelby county we do not have our own terrior) the first truck is our 2004 flightliner 2000 gal. tanker that has a 500 pump on it we have had to use this truck as a eng before since in some parts of the county we can beat the 1st due dept. on the scene the second truck is our 2000 custum fire ruscue truck witch has a 6000 PSI portable cascade system this truck also carries most os our tools and in the near future we hope hope to get alot more heavy rescue stuff to put on it the third truck is our 1973 american lafrance ladder witch was refab around 95 and a pemfab cab was put on it also a new ladder was put on it i dont know if anything else was put on it or not it has a 100 ft stick i hope to get a new group shot with in the next few weeks cause we are getin a brand chevy 3500 to carry our compresser around (witch is also brand new (right now we are useing a 1983 ford f250 that carrys a 1973 compresser so i think is was time to get new of both of them)) and we also got a 1990 grass truck that we put together last year out of two trucks
