Crusin' Carolina
Been awhile since I've been out and about. Here's a few interesting finds in my recent travels. First is This Beauty. International Harvester/ Pirch/Pitman Snorkle. It was Parked out in front of Monarch fire station in Union county,SC. Dont know the year. But this truck has been around for awhile. I have a pic (before my digital camera) with Woodruff, SC markings. Also while I was looking for a year on it, I found where it had served Cherokee Springs in Spartanburg county as well. If she served anywhere else let me know.

Is there anyone near Woodruff, SC who has seen the new heavy rescue truck recently purchased from New Kensington, Pa.? I am curious to see what it looks like in its new home.

I think Pierce got the bid for this truck. The local dealer was telling me about it.

Also looks like Monarch has the old service truck from Poular Springs in Spartanburg. I also hear Boiling Springs in Spratanburg County is getting a PUC.

It is/was . but acording to the ff I talked to (last Oct) . It was too big for them as well as a gas hog, monarch prefered the smaller trucks . It is now for sale.

first is a Seagrave 75' Ladder, not sure the year. Did not find any pates or serial #'s on it. I did a google seach for "OTISCO" possibly from Otisco, NY.[/quote]

Sorry to chime in on this one so late, but this is from Otisco NY, and further is identical to the aerial that once ran at Onondaga Hill NY, which is not too far from Otisco.

A few days ago, Andrew2340 and I got a chance to shoot some Upstate SC rigs. We shot around 40 trucks and we could have shot more, but everywhere we stopped people wanted to talk our ears off.
