200? BMW Police Package
That's a BMW R1200 RT-P, probably 2008 or 2009. The Los Angeles Times has a nice little story and video on the bike (police version) here: http://www.latimes.com/classified/automoti...0,7332098.story

I really don't think I would like my name on my vehicle. What is the purpose? Tradition? A tag so the public can identify the officer?

Here's another one maybe you can help me out with, Round Rock, TX Police Department
That would be a Honda ST1300PA. There are a few of these bikes in the DFW area, Richardson PD comes to mind first. A neat thing about them is that they have dual headlamps on the front which can be set up to flah in a wig-wag pattern. Pretty cool. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

Thanks for the info! I can never figure out Police bike manufacturers.......I didn't even know Honda made a Police Package. I thought only Harley and BMW were in the game! Seth Granville

The Grand Prairie Police Department is changing to black and white police vehicles. The first B&W vehicles are several 2009 Chevrolet Tahoes. Here are some shots of the exterior and interior of those units:

Here is a close up of the console. We use the Troy Products console, which contains the Motorola Digital Astro 800 Mhz radio controller, arrow controller for the lightbar and the Unitrol TM-4 light/siren controller. Unitrol sirens rock!

Here's the gun rack and video recorder charger mounted on the back of the prisoner barrier (aka "cage").
