I seen the Belmar Hahn a couple years ago at the Harrisburg Muster.

Privately owned. It shocks me to see it in this heap. Many nicer trucks have been and will be scrapped, like the Ridgfield NJ Hahn.

I would like to know what's up with these being scrapped when another department could use them. Any ideas?

The Belmar Hahn was seen Tuesday afternoon on the back of a flatbed heading east on US30 east of Gettysburg.

Carman, Manitoba has recently put into service this used 1986 Saulsbury on a Hahn chassis which was purchased from Westmere, New York. Sorry, I could not find a Saulsbury or Hahn serial number.

Ex Rivervale NJ FD, Think it was a mid to late 70's Hahn not positive. It is one of 3 Hahn's that Rivervale had. Washington Twp. had a few Hahn's as well.

Dave: The Saulsbury serial number for Westmere's rescue is 2606. The Hahn chassis serial is HCC-156. The chassis was delivered to Sauslbury in August, 1976 and delivered in December of that year. Hope that this helps out.

Interesting that they left the US Flag on it.

thanks Tom for the serial numbers. The chassis and body looked in very good condition which should serve the paid-on-call Carman Fire Department for many years.

I believe that All American Ford in in Hackensack. Does anyone know if this dealer replaced the old Hackensack Ford that burned in 1988 tragically killing five firefighters of HFD when the wood truss roof collapsed?

I think it is Rich. I believe they rebuilt on the site of the old Hackensack Ford where the tragedy occured. Bergen County Fire Academy sold that truck to All American after receiving it from Rivervale from what I have heard.

In regards to the mentioned Ridgefield, NJ Hahn, that company has been operating a reserve Bergen County engine for quite some time now. I believe that it has major mechanical issues and was deemed non-repairable. That might help explain why that particular rig will be scrapped.
