That is Cheshire, CT's old Engine 1. It was out of HQ for years before being replaced a few years ago. They made it thier hazmat rig and when they bought Rescue 2, both units ran together for a while.
Ed, do you know if Cheshire still owns the open cab Maxim snorkel? Also, in your travels around NW CT, did you ever get a photograph of a Peterbuilt or similar commercial cabover engine in Cornwall? I think it runs out of their Cornwall Bridge station and saw it behind another engine in an old post of yours a couple of years back on the old, old site and it appeared to be an unusual piece. Thanks much!
Cheshire still operates thier Maxim / Pierce / Snorkel out of Station 3 on Route 10, still designated Truck 1.

Ed...that Mack CF from Hartford is the old Engine2...('s is now running one of the Mack MR Saulsburys that have been replaces in the last could of years by Ferraras. not trying to steal your thunder but here's the link to Hartford's apparatus page....and THIS needs to be updated adding the new TAC. i wonder what ever happened to the Mack 75' tower that was Ladder3 ...the one that the shops transformed into a tandem rear axle rig.

Hartford's old Ladder 3 was sold to the Willington Fire Department in CT. Pictures of it can be seen on their website.

As if that wasn't cool enough this old beast was standing guard for the fairgrounds, I assume it belongs to Bridgewater FD, who runs the fair & creates their operating budget (130K according to their website) from it.
