[quote name='Dr. Stinebaugh' post='303779' date='May 8 2009, 18:03 ']An interesting combo was this 1966 ALF 900 series from ? and in 1988 4-Guys attached a tandem axle 1250/2250 body.

Served until about 2002, and was last seen at the nearby Hagerstown Raceway dragstrip.

As of about 6 months ago, it was still at the Speedway sitting off to the side, uncovered and out in the elements. Was this cab from one of the Ellicott City, MD ALF's?

On May 24, 1993, a 2-alarm structure fire on Buffalo Road about 5 miles north of Mount Airy sent fd's from 4 counties plus a haz-mat response from Fort Detrick in Frederick.

The large woodworking shop was fully involved on arrival, extensive overhaul was necessary which was complicated by limited water (tankers/farm pond), and the toxic smoke generated by woodworking chemicals.

Deputy Chief Michael Wilcom,34, of New Market VFD was treated on the scene for high B.P. and exhaustion, however he died of a heart attack later that day. May he rest in peace.

This photo is the scene on my arrival, Mount Airy Tanker 1 is in front.

Mount Airy Tanker 1 supplying the water, imagine the sound!

This 1978 Mack R/Pierce 750/1500 served Mount Airy for almost 25 years.

Winfield Air 14 (1979 Dodge/Reading) supplied the air for the many SCBA's used. I believe this originally belonged to the Reese VFD in Carroll County. 16 years doesn't seem that long ago to me, this was a day I'll never forget...

BCFDT782, FirePix1075, & Dr. Stinebaugh, and all others with any information on any former Shepherdstown, W.V. apparatus.

The Shepherdstown W.V. Fire Dept. is looking for the old 1951 Ford/American Front-Mount wagon, and any other apparatus that formerly served with their department. The department is planning a "Over 200 Years of Service Celebration" in the near future. Any former apparatus that could make the event would be more than welcome. Maybe old Truck 3 the "C" Model Mack, that formerly served Shepherdstown and Martinsburg will be able to attend???

I can post more details concerning the Over 200 Years of Service celebration for firepixers once I receive more information from SFD Chief Morgan.

If anyone has any information that may help, please send me a message. I work shift work so my reply may not be expedient.

Thank You in advance for any and all help.
