The Buffalo was replaced by either the 1967 Oren-Great Eastern quad that went to Co. #1 or the 1967 Oren-Great Eastern pumper that went to Co. #2. Not long after WWII ended the department was restructured from 4 companies to 2. Companies 1, 2, & 3 were consolidated into Company #1 and Company #4 became Company #2. Company membership was determined by your residence location. If you were north of the Wanaque River bridge you were in Co. #1, south of the bridge and you were in Co. #2. It's still that way today. By the way, I'm assuming that's a factory photo? I've never seen it before. The only other 2 known photos of this truck are the color shot we have and the b&w photo in the 1929 chapter of Walt McCall's American Fire Engines From 1900.
