The East Prospect Fire Co. on Pennsylvania bought this 1993 Pierce Arrow 100'aerial 1500/300 off Craig's list. It formerly served the US Coast Guard at Governors Island,NY before the station closed and the facility was turned over to FDNY who did not use the truck. The company wanted the "Super truck" logo which had been on the ladder boards to remain on the truck so it was put on the front of the cab.Job # E7625.

I took a drive on Saturday and went by the American LaFrance plant in Ephrata,Pa. that is closed but finishing up with a few rigs and this truck was sitting in the yard. There were 2 chassis,1 cab and an engine body sitting on the chassis with no cab still in the yard.

Inside was a mostly complete engine for Schenectany,NY.

It was kind of sad to see the place so bare as this was one of the first plants I ever visited and LTI was one of the best aerials built in my opinion. Maybe ALF will live on,time will tell but Ephrata will no doubt never be the same...
