i can never get enuff of the fdny stuff especially the older rigs. thanks for posting them and if you can keep them coming. are any copies of these pictures for sale? i would like to get the billy quick picture to show him. when i told him about it he smiled and laughed. very lucky to have him and a couple other fdny guys around our company

I think it's in service in Goose Island or sumthin- I am suprised NY never bought more than these two(L30/L132), being it was a Mack !
L30 was sold to Pennsville, NJ then sold just a few years ago to Merionette Park, IL.
L132 was sold to Osceola Mills, PA and was just sold last year, but I'm not 100% sure where it went. Osceola Mills had it for sale for at least 3 years.

SuperPumper wound up in a junkyard in NJ and was eventually saved by a retired fireman from Bay City, MI. It has since been restored. Same goes for the Tender. I saw pics of it in the early '90's sitting in some field rotting away, but has since been purchased and restored and now resides out in California.

I dont understand why they would do that, they had the only one, it belongs in the FDNY Fire Museum... JMO. |
