Dave, I don't know where that Pierce pumper might have come from. I have a picture of it from back around 1999 (the other side of it). They had an E\-One and an old FMC/Hendrickson/Southern Coach. I don't know if maybe they rebuilt one of those two rigs into this one.



Next up on yesterday's trip, we'll go to Iona-McGregor. I managed to get two of the three Sutphens that have the mural on them. Code 3's is modeling Engine 260. It actually bears a different number now, 73 instead of 260. It is a 2006 Sutphen 1500/750/30F Pumper, shop #HS4144.

So, getting this one was a bit funny. One of the guys hadn't quite warmed up to the idea of posing the rigs for me yet and decided to try the old "we don't have the keys for that truck" routine when I told him I really wanted this one. I guess he missed the part about me being around the block a few times and getting ready to retire with over 25 years of working on fire trucks. Duh!, I looked at him and smirked and said something like, "You know those trucks don't have keys!"



I was able to get the truck moved. It's a newly refurbished 1987 Pierce Lance 1500/750/30F Pumper Engine 75 #E4237-01. I think they said that there were three of these. One of the others was on a lift outside and was still in the regular white over red color scheme.

Last of the day, and dodging clouds and rain, we sought out Immokalee, FL Fire Rescue. Here's an old ladder truck there, 1989 E\-One Hurricane 1500/300/80' Ladder SO#6986.

Immokalee, FL's Engine 31 drove up as I was at the main station. It's a 2000 Pierce Saber 1250/1000 Pumper shop #ED807-02.

I'm disappointed in the quality of this one; it was actually starting to rain as I shot it. It's one of two 2008 E\-One Typhoon 1250/1000/30F Pumpers as Engine 32 SO#133644.

This 1999 Sikorsky S-76C, Tail #N276TH is designated TraumaHawk 2 and is seen getting ready to take off from Palms West Hospital in Royal Palm Beach, FL. It's one of two operated by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County.

I found this collector owned rig at a local eatery in Royal Palm Beach, FL. It's lettered for Perserverance, PA Vol Fire Dept/ and is a 1940 Seagrave 750 GPM 65' Ladder SN#A4370 Ex Souderton, PA, Ex Seminole FL Jr College, Ex FL State Fire College.

Tanker 24 of the Martin County, FL Fire Department is this 2007 International 7400/? - 500/2200 rig. I couldn't find any manufacturer information on it.

The main reason for my most recent trip Tuesday was to photograph the Buckhead Ridge Vol. Fire Dept. in Glades County, FL. First up there is this 1987 Ford F350/Pierce 300/300 Minipumper Rescue 94 #67968. The department is hoping to repaint it soon into their new color seen in the next few photos.

This is the first truck that the department got that was brand new and built for them. It's a 2002 Freightliner FL80/E-One 1000/1000 Pumper Engine 92 SO#124685.

Although they couldn't tell me the make of truck this was, it was supposedly refurbished and outfitted by the department in 2004. It has an 18HP pump and 1000 GWT and is designated Brush 93.

Rescue 91 is another department outfitted rig built on a 2005 Ford F350 chassis. It has a 19HP pump and 600 GWT.

The next stop was the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Brighton Reservation in Glades County, FL. First up there is this 1991 International 4x4/Pierce 1000/500/25F spare pumper #E6803.
