Rowan County Locke Fire Departments new toy Rescue 62 Mack/Saulsbury Unknown year, refurbed by Seagrave Ex LaVale Fire Company Maryland [/quote] What are the aluminum or stainless steel things covering the A-posts? I have seen them before on an early '80's E\-One, but nobody knew what the purpose was...

A quick trip up and over the Mts. this morning. 1st is Connestee Fire /Rescue located south of Brevard, NC. Rescue 9. a 2008 Spartan Hackney
Connestee Rescue 9-4. 1996 Ford F-350
Now for the Gems of the trip. Brevard Fire. All I wanted was the Ladder. However, The just got two newer trucks as well. Just got them within the last month. First up in Engine 21. 2010 Seagrave
Brevard Tanker 24. 2010 International/Seagrave. It replaced a 1979 International.
the last one for the day. They got a call, so this was the last one for now. Former Engine 28. 1979 Mack/FMC. It was replaced by the new Seagrave. Sadly they are getting rid of this beauty.
Had some time recently to get out and take a few trips, so here are some of the rigs I've shot. SDO's rigs have previously been posted by Andrew, but he wasn't able to get this one pulled out so I'll post it.

Down the road from SDO is the community of Cliffside. There isn't much in the community to really see besides a big Duke Energy power plant and blue fire trucks!!! Well, there may be a little more than that but Cliffside for the most part is just a wide spot in the road.

Unfortunately, The ALF and the Freightliner are the only 2 blue/silver trucks. The rest are boring red.
