I'm thinking this one was started by Saulsbury and finished by E\-One because the truck had E\-One plates all over, but had a Saulsbury production #. The year model of the cab would fit too because E\-One bought Saulsbury in 2003

I believe Civietown has paid people during the week, but I will have to confirm that. I know Supply, Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle, Oak Island, and maybe Calabash all have paid people at least during the day.

Oak Island,NC is another place that has a unique setup. The Island itself has always been called Oak Island but the Town of Oak Island wasn't formed until 1999. Before that, the Island was protected by Yaupon Beach and Long Beach VFDs. Yaupon Beach VFD still serves the northern part of the island and Oak Island FD serves the southern part. Also on the Island is Oak Island EMS and the volunteer water rescue unit. All of this is on a 8 square mile island with one bridge that is the only way to get on the island by car.

Oak Island Station 1 used to be Long Beach VFD & Rescue Squad. Oak Island has 3 manned stations, 2 on the island and one on the mainland.

Oak Island is in the process of re-numbering their trucks, that is why the previous truck says Engine 173. This one is getting re-numbered as well. Station 3 currently only runs an ambulance and the tower and is on the mainland. Station 2 on the Island ran a 2006 Freightliner M2/E-One rear-mount rescue engine that I was unable to shoot.

Thats it for the beach, here are two from the Charlotte metro area. These trucks have been posted before, but have some updated paint or lighting. Cornelius' tiller was re-painted and lettered up, so I stopped by last week for an updated pic.

If anyone knows of this company's actual name or has any photos from them please contact me asap. I have been trying to id this old photo for 30 years!!!

That is indeed Ogden, NC, which is in northeastern New Hanover County (north of Wilmington). The truck in question is an International/Bruco with a Memco aerial (I think). Ogden later took off the aerial and turned it into a tanker. GA Dave can probably tell you where it was originally from.

Yes, He speaks....and as usual, manages to get it WRONG! Where, pray tell, did I get "Memco" from "Seagrave"? They do both have the letter "e" in them....That's what I get for relying on memory instead of checking in Ye Olde Notebook. Oh well.

ya there is the city is thinking about building a new station due to annexing they said they have been talking about it for a long time but they say its ganna realy happen cuz where they annexed is 10miles away from hq and 15 miles away from station 2 so i hope they do it

Mike, according to thier website, it's a 1986 Mack/EEI. No other information listed. I found an e-mail address for the chief and webmaster, I'll shoot them something to see if we can get the SN.
