On the ALF ladder trucks with booster pumps, does anyone know what GPM the booster pumps were and what size water tanks were available? Thanks. Joe

Was this an old name for a New Jersey municipality that changed it to something else? I can't find anything for a Rockland in New Jersey using placesnamed.com or the official state web site directory of municipalities. A search using City of Rockland as criteria I only find one in Maine so far.

RE: Oaklyn, NJ Mack B/American LaFrance 100' TT Aerial.
The rig was ex-Philadelphia Fire Department, a 700 series trailer rehorsed with a Mack B tractor. The PFD purchased 4 Mack B Tractors in the early 1960's, and replaced the 700 series ALF tractors. Oaklyn purchased the rig after service with the PFD, rehabbed it, and put it into service in the late 1970's. It was replaced by the ex Allentown, PA Mack CF/Maxim tiller ex "3 Ladder", which Oaklyn bought in the 1980's at auction, and used until recently. Both rigs are now privately owned by collectors. I'm sure more info on this rig is out there, and corrections are welcome. I also do not remember the roto-ray on the bumper when it was in service at Oaklyn. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/3_12_21.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Captain.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> |
