Nature Police (Parks, Wildlife, DNR, etc)
#1
Anyone else having agencies feel free to post them into this topic.

Went up to my local State Park this weekend to tromp around on the first nice cool weekend we've had in awhile. They replaced one of their older Tahoes with a new Dakota 4x4.

Sort of an odd-ball unit...it doesn't have the green stripe that PA DCNR has had since the mid-90's

Lastly from PA DCNR State Parks are two units from Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA.

All State Park Ranger vehicles look the same in PA, the only differences are what the local upfitter uses in terms of lighting equipment, as well as what units the state purchases for said park. Some have 4x4s, some don't. Ohiopyle doesn't have a cruiser it's all 4x4s. Some only have Impalas, Crown Vics or Intrepids.

Presque Isle has both.

The Rangers actually like this Dakota better than the Impala. With being on the lake in winter, the 4x4 comes in handy for sure, but it also handles and drives better as well (or so the Ranger said) <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

The other agency within the PA DCNR is the Bureau of Forestry. Most people don't even know these guys exist as they are spread really thin throughout a state with quite a bit in the way of State Forests.

Name of the agency is pretty self-explanitory as to their duties.
