These will be before some of y'all's time but this one is a 1974 AMC Gremlin built or outfitted by Hurst Equipment Company. I'm told that there were only 3 of these made and that this is the only one still alive. It still has the original Hurst tools in it. After finding someone to come out and show me the critter, the guy arrived and said, sure, I'll pull it out but I have to move about 4 trucks out first to get to it. He did that and I photographed away. After he pulled the Gremlin out, he told me to go ahead and move it whereever I wanted it for pictures. So, as you can imagine, I didn't turn down the offer to drive it. It has only 15,000 miles on it. Thing purred like a kitten. So, here it is, the Murray County, GA Search & Rescue Team's Gremlin.

Awesome, I wouldn't have turned it down too! Did you get a picture of the tool?

On a recent rainy day in TN, I came across two rigs sitting outside. This one, a East Polk Fire Dept, Polk County, TN 1978 Ford C8000/Seagrave 1000 GPM #J-78028. I'm thinking the department is getting rid of it and it was in pretty bad shape. Anybody know where it originated?

And this piece was sitting outside the same East Polk, TN station. I don't think they were getting rid of it though. Anybody know where it came from? It's a 1982 Sutphen 1500 GPM Pumper Engine 6 #HS-1691.

A couple of weeks ago, GA Dave, Andrew, Micah and I, gathered to spend a couple of days in northern GA and eastern TN. We were able to shoot a bunch of stuff in Gilmer County, GA but had to dodge rain and clouds most of the day so the pictures aren't that great. The following is what we shot in each department, beginning with the oldest and ending with the newest.

First up is Gilmer County's 1985 International/GA Forestry 140-1000 Brush as Knocker 10.

According to some info Mike Martinelli sent me a while back, this is an old engine from Charlotte,NC but I don't know which company it served. It was originally lime green I believe.
