FLORIDA RIGS
Great job on the West Palm acquisitions Alex! I worked there years ago and have never had that good of luck getting things posed. Especially Squad 4! Very nice!

Tom,

Unfortunately not, I believe the rig is at TEN-8 for equipment mounting. I'd go there and shoot but the service manager is a pain. I will probably just wait till the truck is placed in service.

Good pictures Alex.

Specific to W. Palm Beach, they put a '03 Ladder Tower formerly assigned as L01 in reserve? Any idea the reasoning behind replacing it with a 75' stick? Is this their only truck company?

Also, what became of the former Sutphen 75' Quint they once had at L01, maybe a '94 or '95 model year?

Thanks in advance.

Ladder 1 which was assigned to Station 7, was put at Station 1 while the Platform housed at 1 was out of service due to mechnical repairs. Since 7 has no high rises around it's area, they kept the Ladder at 1. Engine 1 went to 7, and the Platform was placed in reserve status. So Ladder 1 replaced the Platform and Engine.

As for the second question, there is a second Ladder Company in West Palm Beach. Ladder 5 which is also in a reserve truck due to it's stick and outriggers not working properly.

Ladder 68,

The Sutphen 75' Quint you're refering to, Mark Carr has posted pictures of in the past. As to the whereabouts, I'm not sure but hoping they still have it.

Beautiful.......thanks for the information...

Any chance you have a station run down of what companies are at which station in WBPFR?

Also, was Boyton Beach Tower 5 once assigned as Tower 3? Or do they have 2 identical Sutphen ladder tower quints?

Sorry for the questions...

Thanks in advance.

Anytime... I'll do my best find a roster with all the apparatus and station assignments for you. As to Boynton Beach, correct!! TWR5 was previously assigned to Station-3 until the contruction of Station-5 was complete.
