Engine 51
Boston Fire Department

Not sure if this counts as being part of the Boston Fire Department but here's the vehicle used by C16- the fire department catholic chaplain.
Ladder 6, parked outside their "new" quarters(a newly renovated station 18)
Im not sure exactly where to put this but since it pertains to the Boston Fire Department specifically, Ill put it here for now. If a moderator from this thread finds a better place for it, by all means move it.
Just thought Id add that Mayor Menino announced he has appointed a new commissioner to the BFD. Its the first commish not hired from within in many, many years. He will take the riegns from acting commish Kevin MacCurtain who will, I assume, return to his full time chief of department status....which he technically never left. Heres a link to the story about the new boss from the City of Boston and Boston Fire Department website. The next three pictures were taken at Engine 20's quarters over in the Neponset section of Dorchester.
First up is Engine 16

Unsure of the unit[/quote] Was around the corner from the Boston Police Department District 1 station? If so it appears to be the same rig I posted yesterday, a spare engine in service for Engine 4. If it was around the area of the Boston Fire Museum it is a spare subbing for Engine 39. |
