Here's another "behind the fence'' department. Fermi Lab Fire Dept in Batavia, IL protects one of the most advanced physics research labs in the world. They are also a contract dept but also respond offsite as members of MABAS 13 I believe. First is Engine 722, a 1989 Federal/E-One with a 1500 pump and 500 tank. Serial#E-1-7174

Nice shots.
The truck is black but a variation that I heard when shooting the truck from the officer on duty is that they chose black based upon that they had a black truck previously and the ladder was to reflect that history
Southern Kane County Training Association had this rig lettered for their organization, which looked to be an old Pemfab cab with E\-One body. I certainly don't know for sure.
I can only assume this rig once belonged to one of the member departments, but I don't know.
. . . Nope, it's not a Pem-fab (though it does look similar) It's actually an older (mid 1980s -- I dont have the exact date infront of me) E\-One cab. The engine is one of two rigs that have been recently donated to So Kane County Training Association by the Aurora Fire Department.
