I think this one served as Engine 1 and had a 750-GPM pump. Charlotte also has the proud distinction of having the first enclosed cab engine in the US, the one seen here.

This a "B" Series - Type 19 and when delivered it had a platform on the roof. They operated snow chains on both the front and rear wheels of this beauty!!
