Clark Oil has a facility in Alsip on 131st and Kedzie. At one time they had their own fire brigade, but was backed up w/ the Alsip Fire Dept. I don't remember this fuel truck but Alsip FD did have a foam tanker called "Foamy" that was housed at the Alsip station 1. It was ready for use for the surrounding area but owned by Clark Oil. When Clark Oil did away w/ the fire brigade, the foam truck went away too. So I can only guess this fuel tanker was a similar set up between Clark Oil and the fire depts.

That is one sharp ALF!!! Although, it does seem to have a Sutphenish look to it from the turn table back.

If my memory serves me right, that ALF was the Sutphen. It went for a major refurb and came back as that thing.

I have to give Alsip credit now. Over the past several year, thay have finally got into a more uniform and standard fleet w/ the 4 Seagraves they now run. In the past, they seemed to purchase whatever they could get for cheap from the local fire truck vendor (whatever he was selling that month) and nothing was even close to being uniform.

Karl, You are correct about that.

Thanks for the pics of "Foamy' Commish! I never knew that the Sutphen was refurbed into that thing, I only recall seeing the Sutphen (then again I was 5 in 1990).

Dixmoor recently aquired this Spartan/Luverne from the Chicago Fire Dept. It was CFD Engine 30. They added lightbars on the side of the cab and a few other LED lights on the body.
