Scott,

Additional info on the Oakmont rigs:

No. 3190, 6V71 Detroit Diesel, manual transmission, and manual outriggers. Replaced in 1995 and they had a tough time selling this. It was loaned to Gilbralter (Berks County) for the month of March - 1998 with the intent on buying it, purchased by them with the 1983 Pirsch pumper for $50,000 who repainted it YW. For sale 06/03.

1988 Sutphen, 4-door 7 man cab, 1250/500, Detroit 8V71N, 350 HP, automatic, 6.5 KW Onan water cooled diesel generator. First 4-door ordered by the company. Placed into service in 2/88. Sold in 1999 to West End of Kulpmont (Northumbland County) for $80,000 who repainted all black by L&J Autobody of Mount Carmel. Interesting color I migh add.

With its enclosed top-mount pump it looks more like a pumper from Minnesota.

That is a pretty cool looking mid-mount. You don't tend to see mid mounts much these days.

Butlers Ladder has a rear mount pump!! one of the few ever built. It spends more time in the shop thatn in service. They have had ALF out there countless times to address a miriad of problems that still have not been resolved. All of this has been since the date of purchase.

Anyone have any more info on this truck. I am confused to why it is duel axel in the rear with only a 1550 tank? a single axle would handle this just fine.
