Is that a sander I see in front of the wheels?
Love the Marion shots. They were taken by Marion Body at their Wisconsin facility or in and around the Marion area upon completion of each unit. There were usually several pictures taken of each vehicle. I don't know if they are still doing this.

New Lennox IL LTI PemFab chassis
I believe this was remounted on a Pierce Arrow with air tunnel for Petone, IL Fire Protection District.

I believe this was remounted on a Pierce Arrow with air tunnel for Petone, IL Fire Protection District.
Rick, Peotone actually ran this rig as it was from New Lenox before the Pierce refurb.

These are all factory photos, Whats a "Air Tunnel"?
Quote:Whats a "Air Tunnel"? The air tunnel in question was an option on late model Pierce Arrow chassis (the original, non-tilt style), beginning around 1993. The cab face was fitted with a square grille and the tunnel was located between that grille and the engine housing. If you can locate a shot of Castle Shannon's platform, it has one.
Here is the truck after the rehab. Peotone no longer has this truck.
