Ashburn's old Engine 6 Hahn comes to mind also....

that is definately one of the nocest cf's around. Glad to see it still around and not in some junk yard being parted out.

Getting it out of the barn next week! I am closing on a new house this weekend (with a 2.5 car garage with space for the Mack) and when that's done, she'll be coming home. I need to replace both batteries, 2 strobe lamps, and finish the lettering. I'll have her out-and-about in Richmond area, but Apple Blossom will be it's first muster of the season.

Tech, not sure why the PM wouldn't go through. I just sent you a PM ... if you have any problems, just send me an e-mail directly to EngineChauffeur@gmail.com.

I took the Bulldog out to stretch her legs tonight (actually, I wanted burritos, so I drove it to the Mexican joint), but snapped a photo in the yard before I took off....

Taylor, Man that is one sweet ride. I'd be keeping the bulldog and getting rid of the Pierce, but that's just me!

What was the reaction of the people at the Mexican Joint when they heard/saw that thing rollin' in?

I MAY have come up with a solution to keep 'em both for the time being, we'll see. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fireman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Fireman' />

Haha, the members of the FD are in there so much, they have a couple of framed photos us with our engine on the wall. Since our VFD runs fire-engine-yellow rigs, when they see the red ones roll in, they know I'm just out playing for the evening. "Not driving ladder truck tonight, amigo?" <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' />

I was born and raised in Cambridge where that was refurbished. I was actually in Delmarva's facility when they were working on that beast. Add me to the group who have always likes that engine. Delmarva did some good work back in the day.

I just went through my slides and found some older shots of your Mack when it was White over Red with the county patch on the doors, before its first rehab, and just after its repainting to all white with the red stripe and county patch on the doors. It shows the unit with the booster reel over the pump and with some of the first modifications made to the unit from its delivery appearance. As soon as I get them converted I will post them for you. If you need further information please sent me a message.
