I see the TRENTON MAKES bridge made the new design... Nice graphics, wonder who came up with them (me) !
That RES 1 CUE sure looks like another ALF rescue truck.... just north of Da Bronx <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> but I just can't place it <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Lacoated east of Waldwick is Upper Saddle River. One of the Nation's most expensive towns. Enfine 1232 is a 2009 Pierce Valocity 1500/1000 [/quote Thanks for the pics. I always wanted to attend Ridgewood's big 4th of July parade but was usually working and now being retired I forgot. Richard & Pat Nixon lived in Upper Saddle River or Saddle River for a number of years after becoming private citizens.

Located north of Ramsey and jst before the line with Rockland County, NY is Mahwah. Engine 217 is a 1994 Pierce Arrow 1500/500. Several of Mahwah's apparatus sport blue warning lights.
From the mid 50's until about 1980, Mahwah Township was home to one of the largest auto assembly plants of the Ford Motor Company along NJ Route 17 but it was torn down, now mostly empty except for a high rise Sheraton Hotel and an office building.

Located near Fort Lee and the Geo Washington Bridge is Palisades Park. Former home of the Amusement Park of the same name. I guess if you need a band to respond lights and siren Pal Park is the department to call.
Sorry to inform you my friend, but it was a very popular and widespread misconception that the very famous Palisades Amusement Park was in the Borough of Palisades Park but it was on the Fort Lee border with Cliffside Park.

Rich is correct. In fact, here is the maltese cross on Cliffside Park's Engine 6 which features the amusement park that burned many years ago.
I did not know that. I was only 7 years olds when it closed so I have few memories of ever going there. My only claim to fame here is that my wife's uncle was the general contractor on one of the high rises that was constructed on the park grounds (or what was left of it)

I don't think that there were a lot of people who knew it. I am quite sure that one or more high rise luxury apartment buildings are on the site now. Keep in mind this was in the days before Disney World, Six Flags, hundreds of tv channels and the internet.
