NOZZLEMAN'S PICTURES
#1
HEY ALL THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND READING THIS THREAD. MOST OF MY PICTURES ARE THOSE THAT I HAVE STUMBLED ON. I DON'T CHASE A LOT OF FIRE SINCE LAS VEGAS, NORTH LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, AND HENDERSON FIRE DEPARTMENTS ARE VERY AGGRESSIVE IN HOW THEY ATTACK FIRES. MOST OF THE FIRES I HAVE HEADED TO I HAVE TURNED AROUND BECAUSE THEY CALL KNOCKDOWN VERY QUICKLY. MOST OF MY PICTURES ARE TAKEN WITH MY CELL PHONE SINCE I DON'T CARRY A CAMERA IN MY TRUCK. SORRY ALL THAT IS MY SECRET.

I have been around Fire Pics on and off for a few years. So i thought that I would share my pictures all in one thread. I do not use a fancy camera all I have is a point and shoot one so they are not as good as a lot of those that we see here. i also take my pictures when I am able to catch the rigs. I don't know for me I feel like i am intruding on the homes of the on duty crews.

Lets Start with Engine 12 of the Clark County Fire Department. This one I took with my Cell phone which is a Android Gallexy S2 they were at the Strat on the strip doing a fire prevention thing. I drove by while taking my father in law to dialisys and they were still there when I came back by.

Here is one of Engine 33 which is a CBRNE Unit for the department. I use to see Engine 33 all the time when I worked at a Section 8 Apartment complex just a few block from their station.

As a side note the rig that Engine 33 currently runs was at one time assigned to Engine 218. Once Station 33 was finished with the construction it was reassigned to Engine 33.

This picture was taken inside the station.

This picture was taken outside the complex.

Up next is Rescue 12, I was able to take this picture the same time I took the one of Engine 12. like I have said before I am one to take a picture when I get a chance rather than go to the station and ask the brothers to pull the rig out.

Here is one that I took this past week of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue Engine 1. I talked with the capt of the rig and he said that they are awaiting a new Snozzle that is being built by Pierce. This rig is a 2001.

On a side note I see that Las Vegas Fire and Rescue recieved three new 100 Aerials replacing Trucks 1, 6, and 7. I also see that Clark County got three new pumpers replacing Engine's 11, 33, and 38. I will try and get some pictures of the new rigs.

I have been told that the Clark County "rescue" trucks don't actually transport patients. They just act as ALS first responders and private ambos from AMR or MedicWest handles te transport. Is this true ?

Most of the Clark County stations will welcome you with open arms and the North Las Vegas Stations will also. For the City of Las Vegas you need to set up a time with their PIO for you to come to the stations. I don't know about Henderson.

I will say this though the best station in my opinion to visit is Station 11 on the Strip. Those guys are fantastic and you can pick up a Station Shirt for 20 dollars with their logo on it.

Partially if the Rescue is on the scene and you are in medical trouble they will transport you, if you are a firefighter or former firefighter they will also transport you. I have been taken to the hospital in a MedicWest and they went to the farthest away hospital and then charged me over a thousand dollars of which my insurance covered 800 and they are trying to collect the rest. I did not have a co pay for the ambulance.

Scottsbluff Fire Department

Truck 1

1972 Snorkel (I believe this rig has been retired since I was last in Scottsbluff, when I was last there the truck was out of service.)

If you are able to head out this way pm me and I will give you the information to get ahold of the PIO and set up times to visit the stations. Just so you know the City, County, City of North Las Vegas, and Henderson all have Pierce Engines and Trucks. Although I know North Las Vegas has some other rigs for spares.
