Metz brought this rig to my FD when it was new for a demo.  I was very impressed with it's strength and the speed at which it could be set up and put into action, but concerned with the lack of storage space for tools and equipment, as well as ground ladders.  As a rescue device, I'd give the design high marks, but for typical truck work, I wouldn't buy one.

I don't feel that deleting your post was necessary, as you made some valid points and, although slightly misguided, your intent was honorable.  So was mine.  I meant no disrespect by my explanation of what was really going on.  I don't know the whole story myself, I was simply able to pick up on it, likely because I often make the same kind of comments to my friends here. 

 

Even though it has been quoted twice, my original post was deleted as well. Shrug
