Stagecoach, NV. 1980 Boardman front mount 750/850 reconfigured for specialized technical rescue: Rescue frame bipod/tripod, extra ladders, ground pads, etc. Still used on occasion as a water tender (y'all call them "tankers" back east.) Formerly from Canton FD. (Sorry, Tar Heels. Canton OK, not Canton NC. But then I grew up in Haywood County and I accepted them taking our name.) We received it with 3,117 original miles so that particular Canton was clearly not as busy as the Canton that I knew. Still a really solid and reliable truck.
429 4-V Lima engine. Clark 5-speed. Can still pull "Ten-Mile Hill" at 60 MPH where our diesel Mack is lucky to make 45. Boardman made some great rigs and It's cool to see all the WNC departments' Boardman rigs on this site.
Stay safe. Everyone goes home.
