I was at work when this whole thing got started so I got there after the visible fire was out. Companies were having trouble accessing the fire due to power lines, railroad tracks, etc. Some cool apparatus stuff to share and that's about it. Earlier, I'd heard that the smoke was so thick, it shut down the adjacent Adlai E Stevenson Expressway.
TL-54 and E-65.

All trains were halted so they could stretch the water lines across the tracks.

Hose wagon 6-1-2. Its operator told me, "just follow the hose a couple of blocks" to reach the fire scene.

Engine trouble? Roadside assistance truck was behind it - didn't take a photo of it.

Red Cross volunteers who were providing water, granola bars, etc. A few of my fellow 5-11 Club members were also on scene with the canteen doing the same thing.
