That is the new Mass Casualty 202 a 2006 Freighliner. Not sure if it was part of the order of several MCU rigs that was managed by Arlington FD for the Washington COG (Council of Governments) using federal dollars. They will be remodeling Station 202 soon and so the Mass Casualty rig I was told is staying a the AFD shops on Wheeler Avenue.

Alexandria's MCU was the prototype.

Lime, have you been able to get any pictures of MAU 203?

So the MCU was the prototype...I know they used federal money but was it from the pot of federal money Alexandria the City receive or was it the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) money that came to the Washington Metro area through the COG? I believe the Mobile Air Units, the Mass Casualty Units and the Ambulance Buses was UASI money. Many of the new command units have been federal money apart from the UASI.

Station 205 is has no ramp whatsoever so it is hard getting shots of Engine 205, especially on a sunny day. Sorry these are as good as I could get. Better shots are already on my list for next trip.
