Lower Currituck operates two of these trucks. They were originally marked as "engines" and the re-classified as tankers.
One runs from the Waterlilly station, and the other from Powell Point's Station (near the Wright Brothers bridge)

Final visit this week was Moyock. This is the first station you find when crossing over from Virginia to North Carolina on your way to OBX.
It has been awhile since I have visited Moyock and was able to photograph the fleet in digital.

Few from a family vacation last Summer in the Outer Banks.
From Nags Head is Engine 161, a 1995 Emergency One Sentry, 1250/750. Previously ran as Engine 16 and Engine 21, this is now a reserve unit.

Storm units are found at virtually every fire station and are used as high-water units. Storm 21 is this sharp 2006 AM General 6x6 that had work done in 2014 by Nags Head FD. Originally came from Fort Bliss, Texas.

A couple of Storm units are in service in Hatteras.
Sad state for Hatteras's antique engine, a 1960 Dodge/Howe, 500/500. For a long time this engine was the only fire truck along the entire stretch of the Southern Beaches.
