Is that new chicago truck atower or straightstick? They really changed the spec if its a stick they used to store the portable ladders out board.
I was thinking the same thing about the ground ladders so I took a look at the ladder compartment and it had 1-50' Bangor Ladder, 2-35's, 1-28'. 1-20', an attic ladder and a half dozen pike poles of various sizes.

Well it's finally complete!!! I have uploaded the new book to the Blurb website and it's ready to be viewed
An historical photo retrospective of the Chicago Fire Department. The book features several hundred brilliantly restored Kodachrome images of the men, apparatus and fires from the 1950s and 1960s. Also included is historical data, including dates, locations, equipment information, as well as a wealth of interesting facts and anecdotes. This is a must see book of seldom seen photos of a bygone era in Chicago firefighting. here is a link to a preview of the book, and ordering information as well.... http://www.blurb.com/books/1602508 My Dad and I are excited about what we created, and we hope you will be too! one more sample page
Steve, very nice stuff. I hope to get one of the books as well. What type of light was that on the roofs? My memory has stopped working now. I've seen them for years.
