The Imperial Cabs look like Hahn cabs. Whats the history behind the similarity?

Now I get the term "Cincinnati Cab" as well.

Imperial & Hahn's main market was in the same area. Many Imperial rig's were sold to Hahn customers.

Hey guys, here's one that Jerry Puryear (firemag) and I found in Bedford County, VA about three years ago. This is a reportedly now for sale. Anyone know it's origins?

Taylor: This engine originally was operated by the New Hamburg, New York Fire Department in Dutchess County. It was rebuilt by Young with a new body and water tank around 1985 and was then sold to Nelsonville, New York. When the Nelsonville Fire Company closed it was donated to Huddleston with some assitance from a local church in Otisville, New York.

Okay, so who did build the chassis on these two rigs? Pierce did not begin building custom chassis until the early 1980's.
I can check with one of the retired Lt's I know he was thre in 75 when they were purchased.

[/quote] You are correct Dave. it is an Imperial (Pemfab chassis) Pemfab used Cincinnati/TCM on occasion or all the time. As far as I've ever seen, Imperial used TCM cabs exclusively on their customs and I believe that PemFab continued to do so until they closed down, although some of those models were proprietary designs.

Well, The chassis were pemfab. But as it was told to me by the Ret. Lt. Nowhere on the chassis decal did it say Imperial In the original specs it was a pemfab chassis
