I doubt it'll happen again but maybe a New One for the Academy since the other one went to 401? Is E410 being fixed? Maybe 1 will go to them.

I agree with Shoop I am betting 411 and 418, maybe 430. One of the 05 Dash's may go to the Academy and the other to reserve.
I had heard that Engine 410 was at Pierce.

E410's volunteer-owned Pierce went back in service at the beginning of December from what I understand.

E 11 and 30 are getting new engines supposedly due to being kept in the best shape :/ Smaller body configuration, different mirrors, still working on the Roto-Ray <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />. Lots of changes in the Fairfax Apparatus realm, standby for the standby.

Splinter so the compartment body will be shorter than the spec that has been used basically since the 05's?

Right you are Roto-ray! Engine 10 went back in service approximately 3 weeks ago. I passed her on Columbia Pike, responding in all her glory <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Happy New Year Gents!

Question for the locals: What happened to the Hazmat units at 40? I know HM440 is now a Pierce Velocity, but what happened to the Spartan/Marion and HM Support 440, the Spartan/SVI? Did one of the go into reserve? Thanks!

The Old Hazmat 440 Spartan/Marion went to Reserve. Hazmat Support was not replaced.

All 3 Hazmat rigs are still housed at FS40. Pretty amazing site when you drive by the firehouse. 5 bays, from left to right - Hazmat 40, Reserve Hazmat 40, Hazmat Support 40, Tower 40 and Engine 40. Medic 40 and EMS 3 run out the back along with (I believe) the Mobile Communications Rig. BIG firehouse.

Nate, when I was last in FFX. The Field Command and Communications rigs were at 430 & 438. No longer at 440. Like you said kinda full there now!!
The command rig as of st least Sunday when they had the big working fire in 436s area was dispatched as command support 430. I heard at one point the old flat bed pod that was marked communications was detailed to 438, never heard what happened to the communications unit that got assigned to 440 (there was a command and communications rigs assigned to 440 at one point correct?)
Also does anyone have any idea when the new foam unit is due at 426 and what the specs are going to be.

Look back a few pages and you will have your answer in post 1236 and 1241. I was with Tim when we both shot the command units at 430 and 438. My Tamron lens broke just before taking the shots at 438. I had to go out and buy a new lens just to finish the trip. Though on the upside I now have two very nice Tamron lenses.

My bad. Try: http://timwolfe.smugmug.com when in doubt type it in by hand.
Tim thanks for the link. I lived in FFx till I was 22years old was at first in 27s area and then 35 opened and took over my box. I miss the units and stations but hated the traffic and congestion. I am now living in Lake Monticello VA home of former Q14.
Tim ir Nate or whoever knows what is the contents of the Technical Rescue Support Unit that looks like a pod on a flat bed truck that is stationed at 418. Is that the lumber unit or does it carry rope and tools?
