Ex-Putnam Lake, NY 23-4-1 (RETIRED, disposition unknown) 1989 Kenworth/S&S Tanker 750/2000 [/quote] This is what may have replaced it - shot in 2009 shuttling water for a house fire in Pawling, NY Not the greatest shot, but it looks like a Mack to me.

Here are a few from the county in which I volunteer.
Tanker 1 is the newest in the county, and replaced a 1991 Peterbilt/S&S which is now serving in New England.

The Macon District VFD took delivery of this New Lexington tanker about the time that things started to fall apart at NL. It was quite a hassle to finally get the title for this!

One of only two custom cab ellipticals in Virginia is this Spartan/S&S tanker. At one time, well over half of the tankers in the county were constructed by S&S.
You'll notice that although this is actually Tanker 4, it's still lettered under the old county numbering scheme, which designated this as Tanker 46. That's all for now!
